Electricity and Magnetism

In Peru's second city, Arequipa, I came across this colourful school sign. The school chose to name itself after a famous physicist, Michael Faraday.

Faraday's work on the connection between electricity and magnetism resulted in the invention the electric motor and other devices.

Can you imagine what life would have been like without his discoveries?
